The story of the young, aspiring filmmaker dropping out of school and making the trip to Hollywood to break into the entertainment industry is a classic trope. But what about those who take the university path to the same success story?

Fifth-year John Soliman, fourth-year Diana Huh and fourth-year Travis Geiger are three students at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television.

They discuss the dynamics of breaking into the Hollywood film scene, their own personal success stories and the unique advantages to being a UCLA film student.
