Multiple students and recent graduates have come forward with allegations about unsafe living conditions in UCLA-owned housing following a Daily Bruin investigation into the university apartment building Westwood Chateau.
First, water started leaking from her kitchen ceiling. Then the coughing began.
Jaclyn Schwartz moved into Westwood Chateau, a UCLA-owned apartment, in September. The fourth-year biology student said she was excited to live near campus, but before the quarter was even halfway through, problems arose.
Every eight years, the UCLA Academic Senate reviews each department’s quality of education. The 2019-20 review of the Film, Television and Digital Media department in TFT, which offers UCLA’s undergraduate and graduate film programs, revealed patterns of administrative neglect.
