Parts of Tiverton Avenue and Glendon Avenue are closed as police are responding to a man with a handgun who has barricaded himself inside a apartment complex in Westwood Village on Tiverton Avenue. Police said the alleged gunman, a 27-year-old male, may be holding a female hostage.
Officer Mike Lopez from Los Angeles Police Department said two people apart from the gunman were inside the apartment. Lopez added that one of them fled the apartment to call the police and reported there was a person inside the apartment with a gun, who she said was her boyfriend.
