UCPD is searching for a person who attempted to rob a UCLA employee outside of the Center for Health Sciences around 9:50 a.m. Monday. 
The employee was on Westwood Boulevard when the suspect attempted to pull their cell phone out of their hand, according to a Clery Timely Warning crime alert sent Monday afternoon.

Around 150 people protested outside a UC Board of Regents meeting Tuesday to call for divestment from companies associated with the Israeli military and condemn the continuation of the Israeli military’s bombing of the Gaza Strip. 
The protest – led by organizations including Students for Justice in Palestine at UCLA and the Palestinian Youth Movement’s Los Angeles, Orange County and Inland Empire chapter – began with a noon press conference in front of the Meyer and Renee Luskin Conference Center, where the regents are meeting from Tuesday to Thursday.

Three UCPD officers sustained minor injuries while stopping a person riding a bicycle without proper lights between late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

Protesters gathered at noon at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Veteran Avenue to protest, hear speeches and write letters to government representatives.
